Just got this headunit fitted friday very pleased with it seems to even have made the standard speakers sound clearer, but would have thought it had the tilt options on it and when changing cd it would be motorised but it isnt. Ive i done right in buying this headunit???

Also can any1 recomend some good front comps for me got about £200 - £300 for comps

got the 9857 and im loving it just cant wait to connect the amps to it and im sure it will be even better. shame about the gimmicks on this one as i got a 9855 before and that had the motor to pull it down and the remote but this comes with neither, bloody cost cutting or what.

right the 9857 has a lower spec than some of the 2005 model alpine for example the 9855 and the 9853 with the glide touch, motorised face and more power.
Alpine basically withdrew these units becuase they weren't selling they are trying to appeal to a market that cant or doesnt want to pay full price on units so they had to make them cheaper for example taking away everything that you were hoping for.. the 9853 and the 9855 you can still get from certain sources.
