I have been using Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care and it's good, makes it look really black, but then it seems to fade back to a dull grey colour after 2-3 days of driving around and 1 day if it rains.
What's the best way to keep them looking black all the time? I've also tried Carplan "back to black" and heating it with a hairdryer again it wore off in a couple of days.
i want to keep it black as this

Would if I had 400 quid knocking about but I just bought a steinmetz grille so I'm a bit skint at the moment. I just want to keep it looking black as possible.
I know someone with a KA and 53 plate and the bumpers are always a brilliant black.
colour code it
It wouldn't be black then would it, it would be gold. :)
thats not his car
I use merguairs quick detail, thats pretty good,
Meguiars trim class detailer ;)

i used to use black to black rub it in,
leave if for a few days seems to look un even and worse
then wash the car again looks much better
nowadays i just spray black to black shine stuff over the arches and rub it in job done, leave it and everything sticks to it but rub it in looks really dark like the top pic

I use autoglym bumper care and it does the trick. It doesnt matter which brand of bumper care you use (autoglym, meguires etc...) it will gradually come off as it rains or the more you wash the car. You just have to re apply it every now and then to keep on top of the situation

dont go 4 the back to black sumin spray frm autoglym as it leaves a misty film all over the paint work which is a pest to get off.
use a sponge to put Ag Bumper care on then use a cloth to rub it in a few mins later, stays black for longer.
tbh mate i think that the black against that colour goes well
