..how would i go about putting a switch in to turn it on and off?

I would use the fag llighter but already got a shed load of stuff wired up to that.

in the tutorials look at the one which tells you how to wire in neon lights, it tells you to put it through some fuse that will make it turn on with the ignition

or just buy a switch and put it somewhere on the live wire
