does anyone know anything about the audio wiring loom for a 1998 fiesta?

i know its a corsa site i have a corsa but my mate is really stuck and so am i

you need a wiring harness 20 quid drom halfords

thanks but he just got the car yesterday and the previous owner has snipped all the connectors off so we dont know which wire does what. Theres 5 wires

yeah i know in normal cars but ford aren't normal they use simular colours with stripes in. Theres a black wire, a black and purple wire, etc

If you get a volt meter find the wire that has a constant 12v running through it, thats ur 12v constant. Then u need to find the wire with just a trickle running though, the black one should be your ground. Hope this helps.

Wire with 12v running through with engine off - 12V CONSTANT

Wire with a trickle of electricity running through with engine off - IGNITION LIVE

With the voltmeter check that you have a good ground on the black wire, it may not be this wire though, but you should be able to work from there.
