this is my first post so hi all, im martin...

...here's the problem, finally bought my first car, a y reg corsa (new shape) n i love it, only problem is it only has a tape/radio player and i need my cd player. After a bit of hunting i found several cd/radio players on ebay from newer corsas so they are the same shape etc as the unit i have at the minute so should slide right in without looking out of place...but im not sure if they will have the same connectors etc or if i would have to take it to a garage or something to sort it out...
...so does anyone know if i can buy one and wire it straight up or if there will be some obstacles in my way?

cheers!

you will need a wiring harness adpator probably, it depends what connectors your current one has on the back if it is already an ISO connector it will be a straight swap

go for an alpine head unit by far and away the best ones

the ones on ebay are about £50 onwards but just found out my cousin has a spare one which he may want to get rid of...but think i will have a look at a cheap alpine one or something...
also, when i turn the volume up on the standard tape/radio player i have, it makes the bass sound crappy, would i need to upgrade my speakers or will the change of head unit solve this problem?

if you get a CDR2005 or CDR2006 one it will slide right in, no problem
CD30 or CD30MP3 cd players will not fit though.
