what car polish u suggest i get, its sapphire black.

ps, how can i avoid the polish 'staining' the black bumper plasticy bits?

pss, shouldi wash/rinse the car after ive polished it?

Autoglym ultra deep shine for the polish
Merguirs microfibre cloth to take it off with
Stains on plastic? Use a pencil eraser or wipe it off as quickly as possible
Wash adn dry before polish. Wax after polishing

also carnauba wax is the SHI T!!!

really expensive wax 'no.1. yellow' from some plant in the rocky mountains of brazil. smells gorgeous leaves paint feeling and looking immense!!

does that really work Neil? might have to try it tomorrow.

Meguires NXT gen stuff is what i've been using, found it easy to put on and take off with a microfibre cloth!

halfords sell sum zymol stuff.in mine i think they do cleaner wax and shampoo.get the cleaner wax! its immence

Polish - Auto Glym Super Resin Polish.
Wax - Natty's blue paste wax or XXX Hardcore paste wax.
Then just top it off with some OCW wax.
Wash it with, Chemical guys extreme wash n' wax.

you need to wax it after to seal in the polish, if you dont you would of wasted your whole time polishing it!

alloy wheel cleaner, comes in a spray bottle inhale it and it tastes like acid, not nice but works..

I give up with the plastic trim. I think its cheaper to colour code it all after all the trim wax n crap I end up buying.

fook me,just realised how expensive all this wax stuff is and all the cloths n ****...£12 for a cloth and £12 for a chamois leather! is it all this expensive or just halfrauds?

Dont bother with chamois leathers, use the drying towels. Much better!

Wanna try this link, its from america so delivery is expensive but if your ordering a fair bit of stuff should work out cheaper as stuff is cheaper than in the uk.

Good off the shelft products are :

Autoglym Super Resin Polish - cleans paintwork, possibly remove some scratches

Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection - acts a sealant to protect the paint and keep it looking good.

Wax - Nattys , XXX Hardcore are very good, wax doesnt offer much if any protection, its just to finish it all off and give extra wetness and shine.

P.s. the EGP works well when layered.

I would also recommend using a clay bar before the polish etc as this will remove all the bonded contaminants from your paint, good luck.

nattys blue on dark colours is the best ive come across, and meguires stage 2 is a good polish.

Get a clay bar and use that 1st then polish, 2x EGP, and finish off with nattys blue paste

also meguirs tyre shine and caranuba wax for a long lasting shine.

i put tyre shine on my car 3 weeks ago and ther still black as the night
