I thought before I get labelled as the "nazi newb" I thought I'd tell everyone about who I am.

My name is Pete and I live in Sydney, Australia.

I've been involved in car audio/ICE for the better part of the last decade, and I currently work in the industry as a rep for Rainbow, Tru Technology and Zapco. I also go to university. As a result, I like to think I know a bit about ICE and audio, and will lend my opinion every now and then. Just a general rule: don't take everything you read as the God's truth. If you keep in mind that everything is an opinion, you can't go wrong. In my first few posts I found some opinions which I thought were incorrect, and posted as such.

So thats my story. Anyways, to the good bit. I have a 2001 Holden Barina (Corsa C to you lads) which I have upgraded with an extensive audio setup. Listed is the equipment as follows:

Source: Kenwood KDC9020R
Frontstage: Rainbow Profi Vanadium CS365 KickBass (3-way splits, soon to be with custom crossover to allow for bi-amping)
Front amp: Tru Technology T-4.65 (4x65rms rated)
Subwoofer: Rainbow Vanadium SW300 (12in sub, in sealed enclosure)
Subwoofer amplifier: Tru Technology H-1 "Hammer" (1x2000rms rated @ 0.5ohm)
Sound deadening: G-Spot Serenity
Wiring/Distribution: Stinger (incl. 0awg power had to drill through the firewall for this!)
Battery: Stinger SPV44

Here are some of the installation pictures, as its still in progress (does anyone actually finish?)
Hopefully I will be able to add a pair of Rane processors which are actually 240v studio PA items that have their powersupply modded to run on 12v.

As you can see a lot of work has gone into the kickpanels. They have been vacuumed formed with grey vinyl, which matches the factory plastic trim 100%!

Currently the boot is being made, from MDF and fibreglass. It is different to the pic above as I decided that I want to be able to retain the spare tyre (vital in Australia) and also be able to remove the system by myself, within 10mins.

More pics will be posted as it happens :) All credit goes to Fhrx Studios of Sydney for the installation.

I'm a size 10 and I don't hit it- theres about an inch clearance in those pics because they aren't scewed in yet. I'll gain another inch and a half when they are screwed in :)

Thanks for the kudos, I plan to compete with the system so hopefully it will sounds better than it looks! Its taken a few months as I rely on having the car, but I'm taking holidays soon so it can be finished by Christmas.

Oh yeah and I bought a pair of CDT Eurosport tweeters to use in the stock locations. I'm a bit worried that having the tweeters in the kickpanels will drag the soundstage down, so the CDT's which are a soft-dome silk tweeter should go nicely in the stock locations...means I have to buy another amp :D
