unless ya wanna take the whole interior out mate its that little hole underneath the speakers. easiest to cut the wires and then attach them to some 6x9's

dont want to put 6x9 in shelf because my mate had them in and the wires got ripped out once when he opened boot so to be honest i dont want anything in the shelf thats why i am changing all the standard speakers for 6.5 comps in front, 5.25 co ax in back and 12 " sub wit 4 channel amp running comps through amp

Rip the whole interior out then mate, rear seats, rear cards, c pillars, then the speaker bit.

well if he left enough cable that wouldnt have happened!!! honestly its the easiest way to jus put 6x9s in...
or you will have to take out most of the rear trim to get to the rear speakers

Run new ones from the stereo or if you can get hand up into the bit. Easier to run them from HU personally.

Please type properly.

stick you hand up through the 2 holes in the back... you will be able to see the rear speakers... either cut or dis-attach those speakers... pull the cable through and with a connection block or something make the cables as long or as short as you like...
you can always push excess cable through the hole.. no ones gonna see it..

as well as 17 cm components in front

you dont even need rear speakers if your amping the fronts with a sub

unless u drive from the back seat

wtf... this thread couldve been sumed up in one reply.. lol.

cant remove rear speakers without removing all the trim in the rear of the car. Instead stuff your hands inside the little holes and pull the cables away from the speakers. strip these back, add new wires to these and run them to your new speakers.

your new speakers should be coaxils and not 6x9s for too many reasons to name. The coxils in the shelf will need a box built around the back of the so the sub does not interferre with the coaxils sound.

Martin, if i did as you say...
grab and cut wires, attach to some coaxials...
would i deffinetly need to build boxes for these or could i build them into the side walls of my boot build?
what coaxials do you suggest, ive got a Fli Vibe 12" 1000 watt active sub...
looking at getting 4 channel amp to power front and rear comps????
Need your help, your the only one that knows what there talking about!

Well you'll need to start your own new thread for a start as this is someone elses :P

say what your budget is, what your looking at, what else is in your ICE etc and many people can help you :D

As for boxing speakers, IMO all speakers should be boxed. Not just because it stops other speakers interferring, but it improves SQ as the driver performes better. When people buy front door components, if they read the instructions, it will tell them in there that the company recomend a box of such and such size to have the speaker put in it :P

i connected the rear speakers differently.

I lifted up the side trim in the bottom of the door(where people put those irmscher silver thingo's) and had a look at what colour the wires were a teh rear speakers and chop...

connected the new wiring at the door and ran them thru the carpet and underneath and up along the back of the seat.

Having re-read that it does seem like a five minute job:woops: but it works a treat.
