Corsa C CD Player Locked

My CD player in my corsa c is locked.. screen displays "Safe 7" i have the code to unlock it however when i follow the instructions to be able to put that code in, nothing happens.. Any ideas on whats wrong?

If it is fooked i'm gonna replace the head unit but i can't seem to find the adaptor plate you need to be able to put a standard head unit in so i'd like to know how much they cost and where to get em from, cheers!

i tried a load of times, pretty much every time im gonna go out n drive i give it a go.. I'd take it to vaux but i'm assuming they're goin to want bare cash before they even look at it just to tell me it's ****ed :-/

how did it happen? what happens if you disconnect the battery?

Get a new headunit. but that'll cost bare cash also. Fascia costs £7 or something. or £11. dunno. available from yourlocal car audio shop.

It's been like it since i got the car and nothing changes, just stays at "Safe 7" i once managed to enter a code in but that was before i actually had the code to enter.

its hapend to my old one b4, what you need 2 do is enter the code following the instructions, you have 7 tries left b4 it will lock permanantly.

take it to vauxhall and get them to do it, they shouldnt charge

Get a new headunit, you'll prob end up changing the standard 1 in the future anyway, so save some time and do it now :thumbs:

to enter the code to the following:

put keys in the ignition and turn to last click.
turn the cd player off
keep as pressed
turn it on
keep holding as until it beeps.
use keys 1 - 4 to enter your code
hold as until it beeps again.

Done.

yeah do what dan says or disconnect the battery for a while and have another pop!

you dont need to disconnect batt do you? i thought every time you got it wrong you had to wait a longer time before you re tried it.
