right ladies and gentlemen heres how it goes.......im drivin like 4.5 hours tomorrow and my stereo if nackered.....which sucks cos well....ill be goin off my head by the time i get there!
so heres whats wrong
symptoms - the speakers cut out when bumps are hit, when this happens a crackling noise happens as it cuts out. then another random bump will put it back on. the headunit DOES NOT TURN OFF but keeps playing to track.....it seems only to be either the power or the signal to the speakers (all) that cuts out. it basically seems to be a some sort of loose connection somewhere. but where?
what is NOT wrong - iv already tryed putting to standard headunit back in and it still does it, so its not the fuse in the back of my pioneer headunit!
iv tested All the cables on the adapters used for the aftermarket unit...they are fine.
iv also tryed found that when there is NO noise and the headunit is running then you dont get a resistance reading between the back of the hedunit and the speakers (loose connection)
now this is where im stuck...the cables run across the passanger side behind the glovebox and into a junction box (in beside the battery) but thats as far as i go....theres so many cables that it would take me all week to test them all...
so heres your question
what cable is it?
thank you very much
