is it possible to connect a sub and amp to a standard factory head unit?? i know its not the best head unit but i want to start my install and cant afford the head unit i want yet

yeah but your amp needs the right kind of input - using speaker wires instead of rca or get an adaptor but there about £50 iirc

yes you can as i did it when started mine halfords do a lead that u sold on to ur speaker out puts at the back of the head unit loom it had to femal phono's on it and some resister or some think as well with heat shrink round it then ya two cables u solder on to the speak wires


i no they do this as i had one to do mine its not to bad but def get a head unit that supports at sub and amp as u will notice once u swop over

try 10 to 15 from halfords all i paid

yeah but the more expensive ones actualy cbump up the voltage so you get a better signal

most amps nowadays have high level (speaker wire) inputs now though, so surely there is no need for adapters, just cut the rear speaker wire and connect, right?
