Took bump strips off finally, but there is faded paint underneath...paint is nearly white! lol

I know a lot of ppl have this problem...i have given a few coats of t cut etc, and its starting to get there but still v. whitish... want it looking presentable at trax!

any suggestions?

Apparantly if you heat the paint slightly with a heat gun it blends the colour in. :dontknow:

Tried it with mine, but I gave up in the end and put the strips back on. Only heat the paint slightly though or you risk blistering the paintwork!

its not the paint thats faded

its a very thin layer of glue...which you have to remove....thats my understanding anyway

hair dryer worked perfectly on mine and its silver and 02 plate so u should hav no probs. Its damp undearneath the laquer :)

mine didnt, so i used a heat guna and now its gone :D

i took the stips of mine and mines red so the paint look awful but i just used a power mop with a bit g3 and it looks sweet now. t-cut is the worst polish u can use on any car.

nope, no glue left...

its actually faded paint...like a milky layer ontop but totally smooth...

may have to get the heat gun out...but scared of doing that though...

will a hairdryer really sort it out?

heat it up and it will slowly go then give it a polish, job done.
