speakers and wiring

hi i know this has probably been on thread loads of times but i cant find exactly what im looking for,i am a novice in cars but have recently brought some 6x9 speakers, i was wondering if ya can help me on the wiring of them as i dont know where the wires go to, i have a vauxhall corsa C 1.2 Sxi 03 reg. please cpould someone help me with where the wires are in the car and how to wire them please, i would like to keep the original rear ones in too, unless u feel it is best to just swop them around and only have 2 sets thanky uo

first off, its best to loose the rear standard speakers if u r going to have 6x9s.

the wires going to the rears can be un plugged. just yank the wires hand, you get at them by squashing you hand in that small sqaure plastic hold on the under side of the speaker bit.

put 2 wires out of the hole, and cut the plastic block off of the end. if there isnt enough slack, pull it hard (dont worry u wont break it) and enough will come out.

you will have two wires. green is your positive, brown is your negative. use more wire to connect the green wire to the positive on your 6x9 (it should be marked on it somewhere). then connect the brown wire to the negative of you 6x9.

do this to the other side aswel. then u may wana play around with your headunit settings, put more to the rear etc.

hi there i just wired up my 6x9's easy only took about 30mins,

cool,so just to confirm are the wiring to the rear on the car just in the boot of the car for the back speakers? or do i have to put the wiring through to the front of the car?and if i do where are the unit for these wiring?

nope just cut the wires from the standars rear speakers and use those wires

Mind me just hijackin and asking whether ya can take the wires out anyhow. Meaning can i have the wires hanging out or do they need to be connected cause i want to see them and leave em for when my speakers are put in

edit- On my 6X9's i have two ins like metal slots, and two outs wil lget photos if ya want where does the out go? Thanks, + do i need to do any soldering?
