Taking stereo adapter out????

Hey people,

Just wanna know how the hell you get the stereo (single din) adapter out (as i wanna spray it the gun metal grey colour-i have an 02 SXi) Also what is the best colour to use???? Currently it's just black....

to be sure of not breaking it, i would remove the heater vents above it.

get a screw driver to pluck out the vents, torx t20 screw driver to unscrew 4 bolts, and pull.
