View Full Version : CD 30 on a 2005 model HELP!
Trying to remove my standard CD 30 H/U on a 2005 model C. CANT GET IT OUT. I read the turorial on how to remove a H/U but when i put the allen key in to remove the grub screws it does not connect with anything leading me to believe...no screws in there. Ive tried everything i can think of to get the fu***r out but no luck. Some one PLEASE help asap.
Cheers.

No probs, did it with a screw driver. New one looks immense.

wna geet mine out on wkend too
is there any way u can do it without buying the key things frm halfrauds?? dont wanna pay for em to use em only once! - i have ford ones will they do if i bend em??? how far in do the keys have to go in ??
or can i just use four screw drivers?!
i snapped my so i had 4 seperate rods.
i then "feel" each one into its hole untill it feels like it has pushed the latch..
have you not got many friends with aftermarket stereos? use theirs.

coat hanger cut into 4 $0
i used bits of coat hanger and a perfect sized screw driver. It was a bitch but it came out eventually.
Best way is to look and c if the screws are there at the front. If they aint then u need a set of prongs for the holes. try motorworld 6.99 for two then when u put them in properly it will pull straight out.
