right, so took the glovebox out and am trying to fit the positive cable to the battery.......have found the black cable behind the glove box but the hole it goes through is barely big enough for the one cable, so where else can i feed my wires to make it to the battery??

i fit 4awg throu easy...

and using a ring terminal (cost about 17p iirc) you can connect it to any part of the positive battery terminal. i put mine (on an old instal) under the positive from the alternator.

I went the other way. If you start in the engine bay, next to the battery is a black box with a foam/rubber wire protector thing. If you cut a little hole in that, thread the power cable throught it and should come out into the glove box. It takes a little bit if fiddling to get it through but it is quite easy.

i have 4 awg running through behind the glovebox into the battery so it should fit through fine

if you are totally unsure what you are doing then it may be worth gettin a professional to do it for you??
