they said they cant do it because they cant get the power cable 10awg to the boot? does anyone with a 2006 model facelift sxi+ got the wire to the boot and how
LOL - take it somewhere with a clue.
I have 0AWG running to my boot.
alternatively look up the tutorial on here - you run it through the back of your glovebox.
hope this helps - also don't pay them a penny if they can't run a stupidly small power cable to the boot.
What sub are you trying to run from a 10awg?
:lol: 10awg?? my speaker wire is thicker than that :P
run it through the gromit, read the dam sticky :P

i did i said to him run it through the gromit, were is the gromit martin?
behind the glove box mate. its like a double gromit thing iirc... push a knife through it, then thread a needle through with string, and attatch the string to your wire ;)
the guy sounds like a dork tbh... do it your self mate.
10awg = 6mm˛ = 32A Current carrying capacity
32A on a 12V system is 384W. At a peak of 14.4V the that equates to 460W
As long as you are running 400W or less Amplifier then you need a bigger cable!

no, thats peak.
but the type of amp using 10awg will need a bolt of lightening to hit it to make it anywhere near peak...

will 10 awg have a high risk of my car setting on fire?
Not a chance in hell - if its wired up right and has the correct size fuse ;)
