glovebox out.............

i am trying to get a cable from insede the car to the engine bay.

i have removed the glove box as the tutorial describes.

the only grommet i can see behind this is on the left as if it leads through to the wing.

is this the one i need to be using? will this come out in the engine bay? (where?!)
or is there another grommit that i am missing??

there is a grommit that comes out behind where the battery sits,

if you remove the battery you should be able to see it

dont need to remove the battery, but yes the grommit is behind it. its pretty simple to see in the engine bay but not from the cockpit ;)

i am not looking in the engine bay as its p***ing it down!! just workin in the car now, trying to get as much of work done as i can and leaving the engine bay part til tomorrow as they say it wont be raining then :)

so if im right in thinking then - its behind the battery, by the fuse box right?
(looking at pics of my engine bay!!)

does the scuttle panel thing (at bottom of windscreen) come off?

or will just taking the lid off the fuse box give me enough space?

will i be able to just push the cable through ok and have it pop out in the passenger footwell or is it one of them sh*tty fiddly jobs?

The way I did it was pop the grommit out with a screwdriver (From the glovebox side) then made the hole wider so I could fit the wire through. I then pushed the grommit back in.

leadmill: is that from the engine bay or in the car? - i cant find the one in the car!!

yes look in the engine bay... its closer to the battery than the fuse box mate, under the scuttle panel, it will be quite difficult to spot it from in the car
