I have just bought myself some wheels for the car. 205/40/17. I know they are gonna have different pressures compared to the corsas standard wheels.

I have a 1.2 SXi 53 plate.

If anyone could point to a website that'd be grand :)

i got sxi wheels - mine are all at 34 - just depends i think on the engine being heavier (ie 1.8 or 1.7 diesel will need more pressure)

Don't change em. Regardless of tyre size you always user the recommended vauxhall tyre pressures. You run low pressure tyres say hello to damaged alloys down the line, especially with 205/17's on

I run 33 front and 30 rear as thats whats recommended for a 1.4 read the manual and use those pressures. You can't pop your tyres as they will be rated to 50+psi

There is even a whole section of this forum on tyre pressures. Do a search for it or read the owners manual. I would go up your pressure's a little bit as 29 on the 17's will result in quicker tyre wear and you forking out a bill for new low profiles which aint cheap.

Here is the link you need: http://corsa-c.co.uk/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_mod_wheel#faq_faq_wheel_inflation

This is what the 1.2 and 1l will need to be run at:

Engine - Z10XEP, Z12XEP
Tyres - 155/80 R 13, 175/65 R14, 185/55 R15, 195/45 R16
Inflation With upto 3 Persons - F 32 R 26
Inflation With full load - F 35 R 41

So if the tyre pressure is at 29psi on standard rims does that mean the tread will go quickly on them to? what psi would u recommend for standards?

For my 1.4 I use 33 front and 30 rear just like the book says

Use this link

http://corsa-c.co.uk/forum/faq.php?f...heel_inflation

All tyre pressures for all engines on the Corsa C are listed :)

Pressures are there for full and half load cars :)

39 front, 33 rear on the derv, it makes alot of difference on fuel economy runing underinflated tyres ;)

but yeah you generally stick to the pressure stated for your engine size

in me book it doesnt give me a tyre pressure for 17" on a 1.2 engine

in me book it doesnt give me a tyre pressure for 17" on a 1.2 engine

it wouldn't since vaux never fitted 17's to the corsa. for the 1.2 its 32 on the front and 26 on the back. spot on

thats what the book says for standard 1.2 sxi engines.
so if based on whats been said here, stick to your original tyre pressures. makes sense.
