Power cable Trouble

im wiring a sub and amp up in my corsa c, the only problem i have is how 2 get the power lead from underneath the bonet into the cab. ive looked everywhere and i cant find anything. its a corsa c design 1.2 2005 plate. can some1 help me please???

behind the battery is a rubber plug or grommit which has a thick black electrical wire going through it. if you take out ur glovebox and look up ull see an X shape which if u put ur finger through, will lead to the engine bay. feed the wires through there

Its hard to get it through i used a skewer and used electical tape to tape the power cable to it and pushed it through and then went around a pulled through the bonnet took about 1 min this was after 20 mins of trying to get it through other ways..........

i agree, its bloody difficult, i just kind of pushed the grommit out :look: put another small one over my cable (as it has a fuse battery end) and run it that way :\ really should so that properly :lol:

i have alot of wires going throught my grommit, 4gauge power wire, wires for alarm and undercar neon kit plus the standard wires that go through, so i opened the whole, just took as many wires out of the whole i could and very carefully drilled the whole bigger, then put insulation tape around the whole, to reduce the chance of damaging wires

Could someone post some photos (or a link) of this grommet and how to take off the glovebox ?

look behind ur battery and theres a black cable going into the cabin, the rubber around it.... thats the grommit.

the glove box, open it up, 2 screws- one left one rite
then 2 at the bottom

Do I have to take the battery out to see the grommit ?
