Boot buid - Stupid Q?

This might come across as stupid to some, but...


We're thinking about making our boot build that we've got designed, but, do the subs have to be in a box? for example, the sub will be in an artificial floor, is it ok if there is no box where it is, it'll just be under the artifitial floor.

Any help appretiated! :D

yea the quality will just be poor, will work tho.

Cheers, not too sure tho as cant really make a box for it as good, easier to just put it in floor!

it would be easier yea, but you would be suprised at how much of a difference tho box makes to the sound of the sub.

the thing I learnt with building installs; don't sacrifice looks for sound quality - it's a speaker, they are made to produce sound, not made to look pretty

build the correct box for the sub then build the install around it
