View Full Version : New (05onwards) headunit into 02 Corsa

As i have seen the 05 plate onwards Corsa C's have a slightly different headunit, and i think i have heard before that the wiring going into them is different. Well i have an 02 Corsa Sxi here with no headunit, and am wondering whether i can fit the new type of headunit into it? With a wiring adaptor maybe ?

actually it would fit, but the loom is completely different. The loom on an 05 onwards Corsa for the Headunits is such used in a BMW/Mini known as a quadlock. the older Corsa's (pre 05 i believe) used standard ISO connections. You may be luck and be able to get a conversion lead made by autoleads, but i wouldnt be optimistic mate

still wouldnt work as the power is all different, and wires are all different. The newer ones use a can bus system (i think thats what its called) which means 2 wires do several things. So best just getting the right HU!

yes the canbus system is on the new 05 hus, and they are coded into the ECU.

a mini adaptor would make it work im 99% sure of this..

orrrrr just use the money to buy a an aftermarket radio which will be 10X better than the standard vauxhall ones

how do you go about putting an aftermarket HU in an 05 onwards corsa?? ive done a quick search on this and cant really find anything.
