View Full Version : One Rear Fog Light Or Two

I have just brought a 1.4 sxi+ on a 56 plate and the owners manual says rear fog light. The right hand side (Drivers side) works but the left hand side does not.

Does anyone know if the wiring is there for the left hand light or not. If it is not there could you please tell me how to go about getting it to work.

As of 05MY (september 04) only one foglight was fitted to the rear of the corsa.

To get the other side working you will need pre 05my foglights and loom :thumbs:

Errr... i have a prefacelift (02) and it only has one fog light... i think most cars now only have one... my dad had the old focus that had one and hes got the top the new model (Titanium) now and that only has one too...

Hmm wierd. The 2004 Facelifts did have two rear foglights (left and right), but then they axed it and went for just one on the 2005MY cars.

i've got a corsa life and i have two working rear fogs.....why would they make them with only one fog working...bit strange.

Mine is an 06 corsa sxi+ and both rear fogs work so they didnt dump a fog light from 2005 :)

Mine only has one!

I thought it was pre facelift that had 2 but from what people have said on here maybe not?

mine has 2, phil vauxhall have robbed you

im sure that when my dad smashed the fog light on his 51plate corsa c the fog light they sent was just plain, no opening for a bulb! we had nothing to plug the bulb into lol

Factory annual holiday is during August so all production stops. They use this time to refresh the models, so 2005 model is Sept 04 to Aug 05.

I have an 03 sxi and i have two rear fogs, my mate has an 06 sri and she also has two rear fogs.

Right spoke to vauxhall and they are saying they never made a corsa with one fog light. I have a feeling if you bought this second hand that someone has modded it and put a single fog light in and when they have returned it to standard they have only hooked one up.

Sounds like Vauxhall don't know what they are talking about.
Mines an 05 SRi and I've had from new and it only has the 1 rear fog light on drivers side, other fog light is not fitted.
If it is supposed to have 2 then they've been cheepskate cost cutting gits!!!!

The 2004 facelift definitely has two working rear fogs as I have had two cars now.
The 2005 model definitely had one working rear fog as there were loads of posts on here around the time people were getting them, asking why the hell only one light worked, 'is my car knackered?', etc.
Sounds to me like Vauxhall changed their minds and went back to two lights for the 2006 model.

Anybody with a 54 or 05 reg car got 2 working rear fogs?

Mine only has drivers side working, passenger side is just a reflector.

However, I've just obtained a working passenger side one on ebay, and am gonna bodge the wiring so that I have 2 working ones :)

I've had my corsa (55 reg) from brand new only 28miles on the clock and only have the drivers rear fog light there, the other side isnt even wired or bulb'd.. am sure its an easy swap tho..? either get a wiring loom from a corsa that has 2 rear fogs and install it in using existing power feed for original for and place other fog on the N/S of the car - no problem???

I dfo think that it would look better tho having 2 - more symetrical and even, not just a show fog and no do lol

Also bout the focus, my old escort (L reg) had 2 rear fogs but my N reg only had one.. strange

law states that a car must have atleast one rear fog (if built after the law kicked in) and must be on the drivers side... only thing is why do 206'sget away with a single in the middle???

Mine is the same as Fox's, 2006 SXI+ and I have one working rear fog light.
