advise wanted about alarms on a 2006 corsa

I'v just got off the phone to a car alarm company who told me that only a vauxhall alarm could be fitted to a 2006 vauxhall corsa.
I have already forgotten the technical jargon the guy told me but it had something to do with some casing on something (i think) :?

I was asking about the Clifford Concept 650 G5 alarm, which i have on my 2004 corsa.
I told the guy that i have it on my corsa and asked when the changes were made to the corsas meaning that the alarm could no longer go on and he said the beginning of this year :?:dontknow:

Before i go ringing around other places could anybody advise me on whether this sounds right?

any alarm can be fitted to any car if you have the rigth person fitting it

it might not be all looped in as it's supposed to but it will still work properly (so long as it's set up correctly)

CAN isnt an issue with these. I have done a few with normal alarms.
