Hi ive just ghetto riged the headunit with a diff cage and its all fine but now i have another problem, for some reason the electric locking system has stopped working now i have to use the key, could this be to do with the iso lead connected to the new headunit?

Also the aerial has a plastic covering around it and doesnt seem to be able to get anywhere near the port on the new headunit do i have to cut all the plastic off or do i need a aerial adapter? Ben

you need an ariel adapter they are about £1.50 from any car audio shop

I think you have blown a fuse if your remote central locking has stopped working :? if not could just be a dead battery in the key fob..........try the fuse thing first

Well it goes back to normal if i put my old unit in, so i assume its something to do with the iso wiring? Ben

erm thats well weird have you swopped the yellow and red wire yet? if not try that not sure if it has anything to do with it. Other than that you could try buying one of those wiring adaptors so the connections to the loom are the same as a standard unit

Ive already swopped the red and yellow wire (there are 2 yellow wires tho so i might try a combination) , this is quite worrying though as the central locking controls the petrol cap..... which means i will have to force it open if i cant find a solution :(

if u cant get it sorted take it to a professional mate. not worth not having central locking for a radio, but also not good to lose ur new radio
