View Full Version : Custom Boot Build!!!
Alrite guys!!
I've just finished my custom boot build, and it looks amazing!! but anyway....i have made holes in my sub boxes for those vent things that let air in and out, but i don't have any, does anybody know where i can buy some from?? (they are 8cm, but i can make them wider)
Also what are the best settings on the headunit for the subs, i have 2 1200W subs and a 1600W amp, and the headunit is the pioneer deh p75bt....if this makes any difference, any comments would be much appreciated!!!

Wouldnt you need a more powerful amp for that?
them "vent thing" are ports to allow tuning for the sub box.. not just a randomly drilled hole mate ;)
if you are after a cylindrical flow port:

I'm assuming i don't need a more powerful amp as they came in a package...and also i work in halfords and all we can get in are those rubbish plastic ones from autoleads, the third link martin gave me are the ones i was looking for, cheers guys!

lol, alrite then! so ye what about the settings on my headunit, all the faders n stuff liek that, i have no idea!!!
beat ya lol
You did Im still laughing
well i assume you're running the subs fro ma pre out, id have that 5/7 of the way up, have gain at 48% and fader on amp quite low.. but that is down to prefernce really.. i find 60Hz is ok. if you go too high, you sub tries to cover too many notes and wont be as efficent (as loud) as it could be. it also buggers it up by trying to play high stuff.. oh and filter set to LPF, not hpf or flat.
