Sub Issues

Got a slight issue with my sub n amp.

Fitted them the other day and work fine. went to work today, they were fine for an hour and then started going on and off. left it while i was at work, came back and it was same fine for an hour then on and off. my real question is i suppose is a 400w amp big enough to power a 1100w sub? I know looking at the wattages something is wrong but i was told otherwise. any advice is appreciated!

on/off problems are 99 times out of 100 becasue of loose connections, of which 99 times out of 100 come from the earth (black). Check that.

where are you gains set?

check all connections are tug tight.
