Whats the best Exterior polish for doing your car, been using Noonster's Top Gear stuff that someone got him for christmas. But heard Auto Glym is the best on the market, shine lasts longer, has a harder wear, and what have you.
AJ
i use autoglym but migluiars (spelling) is supposed to be the dogs danglers
i use turtlewax wash and wax very good indeed!

mer is good but find auto glym better
autoglym causes problems when coming to get ur car painted.
Few ppl i know used autoglym for yearson their cars and when it comes to painting say a wing.. the paint constantly reacts.
Supposedly due to autoglym stuff having a high silicone content.
Personally on the corsa i used Mer for polishing then used Simoniz wax on it for all the time i owned it.
Mg , i bought sum of that Turtle wax colour magic **** and must say it does put a hefty shine on the car.

apparently autoglym has sum mad chemical ****e and a high silicone content which..if u use it over time will soak right into the metal or whatever part u arepolishing. Whn u come to get this part repainted etc then the paint will not take to it..
U will get the paint lal bubbling up.
I had this with Autoglym bumper gel. NO matter how much we cleaned the arches with chemicals and thinners, the paint just would not take to the arches.
Result having to buy new ones.
yeh i jus bort some gna use it on the weekend, but as long as i dont touch the bumpers or plastic parts i shudnt have a problem rite? coz i intend to spray all the plastic parts but not the original paint work so ill b ok rite?

shud be.
jsut dont use any bumper gel or anythin on the plasitcs as that will make then a lot hardder to painnt.

Yeah i was amazed the first time i used autoglym.
Didnt know anythin about spraypainting problems? im gettin new skirts and a rear skirt blended in soon, should i stop using it till the works done scott?
i didnt use back to black b4 i got the black bits colour coded, as i heard of a similar problem.
surely any good bodyshop should giv ur car a high pressure blast before spraying?

doenst matetr how much they clean the parts..the stuff soaks into the plastic and its basically ****ed.
