View Full Version : How do i flippin take my head light bulbs out??

i've got some new bulbs n tried to fit them saturday but i cant get the old bulbs out.

face lift lights, took the white cover off, removed the connector but i cant get the bulbs out. on my old 52 reg C you just unhooked a small clip n it was easy.

are they both the same?

can any help me??

There is a spring clip that has to be released from above the bulb, but its made far too difficult do, due to not being able to see the ends of the clip. Above the bulb, feel for the ends of the clip which you have to push in and then slide away left for one half of the clip and to the right for the other half. After much swearing the clip will hinge down and away from the bulb like normal, then change bulb. Now the real fun starts getting the clip back in. Much swearing and sore fingers later. Hope this helps.

Alot easier if you drop the front bumper, me and my dad tried without dropping it and got nowhere with it. theres a tutorial on how to drop the bumper on here.

in the user manual it says take it to a VX dealer, jus follow the tutorial and drop the bumper, if u've got half a brain it takes no time, took me an hour coz i got distracted by a crate of strongbow

Well after reading a few posts I was going to drop the bumper on mine but I managed to change all 6 bulbs in my C pretty easily. Its just a case of working blind! Took me 20min.
