Dvd headunit wiring, confused??

Hey guys and gals,

I've got this dvd headunit that i've been trying to fit for the last 10 hours and still aint getting positive results..

The kit came with a
- AV box (looks like a mini amp)
- Connector wires consisting of lots of different colours
- Power wire
- SDbus cable

I've followed the instruction manual and basicly so far.. i've wired the corresponding colours to match the wires on the adapter (the one for corsa C to aftermarket HU's) and i was left with 4 wires, a Pink, a Brown and a Blue/White.

Now.. the Power wire has a Yellow, a Black and a Red wire.. what should i be doing with these?

If someones got a dvd headunit and is confused about the above then just tell me what you did regarding wiring etc and i'll just work it out by myself..

yellow to battery positive (fuse the wire), black is ground (negtative on battery or chassis) red is ignition live on the loom (so red wire on the car audio). thats how i was told to do it on my alpine radio

yep cheers mate, i've done the wiring but my ignition (red) wire has no power going through it when i have the ignition on?? so at the moment everything works fine when i plug the headunit to the live (yellow) wire but this means that it will constantly be on and drain my battery..

i'm trying to figure out why my ignition wire aint working? thats all thats stopping me now :x

i have the same problem mate, my ignition wire had zilch coming through it and the only power is coming from the red wire, which is memory i think.
I think i might try and hook it up to the cigarette lighter power as this comes ona nd off with the ignition.

yeh my electric windows werent working so i checked all my fuses and replaced the blown ones and now my red ignition wire has current going through it now. u should have a look urself mate.

i've come accross another problem now :x my screen doesnt retract all the way in when i come to switch it off, it just folds down and switches off but the screen is still sticking out. looking like this ]---
