Dont laugh :woops:
Had an idea the other day.

These in Blue or White.
I want to fit these under the door handles and wire them up to the courtesy light,
so that when i unlock the car at night the light in the car comes on and the door handles
will light up.
Help and comments needed please :salute:
Cheers guys
UBER_SMEE has these in red.
look pretty good.
i get white, not blue:D
uuummmmm i dunno
depends how well you do them i guess
and if you do them blue i think you need to change the interior light to blue aswell to match
that could look good!!!

Actually quite practical! Blue interior light + blue door handle lights could look nice?

although blue light isnt as good as white in illuminating - would look better though.

ha ha this aint gonna be easy i asure you!!!
i had footwell neons done the same way
had a problem with the amount of current that goes up to the interior light... it wouldnt power, sorry illuminate them very bright!!! so i would test them first by holding the connections against the terminals and see how they look
jus aslong as you cant see the lights in the door handles i rekon this would look good!!!
i wanna see pics when its done mate!!!

Could tap into the interior light and feed it off to a relay for a seperate power source to the door handle lights? And add some 'ground lights' in the bottom of the door mirrors Volvo-style.

i did this about a year ago when you got them free with revs or something, they werent intended for door handlres then tho. i wired them up to a 9v battery just behind the door card (couldnt be arsed to run the cables all thru the car and doors) they lasted about 6 months untill some muppet that was washing my car ripped them out by accident!
also you will find there is a little rebate in the door handle at the top that is actually the perfect size to fit the lights

Saw a Hyundai Coupe or something that looks like that with these door handle lights the other day, looked pretty cool.

you need to run a perminent supply to the light, then one of the wires in the interior light is only earthed when the doors are unlocked/opened so earth the lights through this wire. if it causes a problem ask any alarm installer because thats effectively how the door switch is taken on most cars :D
cheers

wire them into the door switch, seems the easiest thing as its this that in turn turns on the interior light....torx bit has that switch out then pop the two wires in and roberts your mothers brother
