Hey all, happy new year

I got a mate who works in Halfords who will be able to get this with his discount. Looks good - what you guys recomend?

Seriously after looking through the site, there isn't barely anything mentioned on this headunit. Have anyone actually got one? What your opinion on it? I'm not looking for amazing quality, i'm hard of hearing anyway, my response to sound is fairly limited! I have got a sub - cheap one, been going for two years, so I'm not looking for expensive kit.

Also - not throwing petrol on a fire here(!) - what the point some of you suggesting cheaper headunits around £200 without face off is a problem and suggesting ones over £500 are better because they have face offs. Seriously - if it going to get nicked, it will - I know what one I perfer to have in the car at the time.....

If the face is off theyre not gonna know that its an expensive Unit. also makes it easier to claim off the insurance and get a new unit if you have the facia.

think the dv710 is pretty basic tbh. cant see a point in these in car dvd players, i dont really sit in my car watching films.

ive just bought an alpine dv100? its top notch, i went to halfords to have a look at theres and you get what u pay for i.e not much, thought it was crap, found it hard to use and i also felt like i was having to punch the screen for it to work. but if your after something cheap then u aint gonna get much cheaper, otherwise i would save up
