What determines the amount of bass that u can get, i dont kno anything about ICE really, but my old setup worked really well and it was only powered by a 280 mutant amp - tacky i know but the sub shook the entire car!!!!

as i lost all my ICE im lookin for 2 new subs, to go into an install on each side of te boot

want ALOT of bass, what do i need to know

cheers

alot of bass.

well, you want a big ported box, with a big sub and a big amp. simple as that really mate.

id stick with 1 sub tbh, instead of 2 if your on a budget

big amp - you want as many WRMS as possible.

big sub - you want big cone, and to handle as many WRMS as possible

and you dont want a sub and 6x9s. the bass frmo the sub and 6x9;s clash and sound sh*t.

all ported boxes are different depending on the subs properties, and what frequency you tune the box too. about 30hz is good for day to day listening, about 60Hz is good for pure volume/SPL

So would i be better off getting components then??

This is for a Saxo Vtr 51 plate, what sizes do i need (soz to be a pain, expect alot of greif for the car aswell)

thing is i wanted to do a boot install with subs on either side and an amp monuted to the back of the seats

well you dont want to mount your amp like that, it could fry...

yeah comps up front, sub in boot

well you can do that, but there wont be hardly any room left, thats why i say one sub - so there is still room.

well im not after anything YET, but if you could suggest me what to go for, are alpine any good, and let me know what deals you got going mate i will be lookin for

Powerful, stylish Head Unit, preferably Alpine

Big Bassy Sub - and amp to provide sufficient power

And, finally comps for the front door speakers and possibly the back

the louder and more bass the better :doublethumbs:
