if u want good ice then keep your HU simple. just take it with you away from chavs.
there is a way of doing it i think, but oviously its crap, very crap. dont waste your time.
quality would be poor, youd convert a rear speaker to rca with 1 of them things
spend the money on a decent hu

you can get a perfect signal if your prepared to pay for it. JL make a device called a cleansweep. You cut into your rear speaker wires and this unit clips onto these wires. On this unit you have many options, controls, knobs and dials etc. Much better idea than buying an aftermarket headunit because:
You keep steering wheel controls,
you keep warranty,
you don’t need to buy any wiring adaptors,
you don’t need to take your dash apart,
you don’t need to buy a fascias,
don’t need to worry about painting it,
don’t have to fork out a fortune on a headunit with pre-outs,
theieves wont suspect you have a big install in your boot
… I think these things will take over and aftermarket hu’s will be no more.
If you’re on a tight budget and not too bothered about changing settings on the JL Audio component, you can get a simple adaptor that takes a signal from speaker wire, and turns it into a RCA lead, ready for your amp.
VIBE make one @ £13
Directed Electronics make one @ £19
Stinger make one @ …I dunno how much lol, probably a bit more than the other two
Some amps (again, VIBE) are designed to handle high level inputs, so you can just tap into your rear speaker wire- and extend this into your amp.
Plenty of options there for ya ;)

yeah thats what i was on about when i desrcived the £13-20 items from vibe and directed ;)
i dont see an aftermarket headunit being better, unless youre keeping al speakers standard and just want a sub - i guess

rite but will the headunit suplly them enough power to get some bass and such
Yes. The headunint will send a variety of frequencies (low enough) for some 6x9s.
