Budget any thing up to 400,
basically its for my old man's TVR Tuscan and behind front 2 seats there is 1 x 6.5 clarion speaker which is sh1t,
Just a speaker running of a pioneer HU 4x50w
sure you dont need to spend upto 400 quid if your running off a 4x50w headunit
the difference from a 150 quid speaker and a 400 quid speaker wont be noticeable if set up like that will it

Its not to be noticed andy its to do a job and job only, thats why i put UP TO £400
Yer Andy means you might aswell look with a £150 budget. And if your running from headunit, why not look at a 6.5" coaxil....?
exactly, so a 400 quid speaker will sound exactly the same as a cheaper one with the headunits 50watts running through it, will it not?
all i was saying was you wouldnt need to spend that much to fulfill the job you need
the massive audio RX series coaxials i had on my dash were good - i had the 4 inch version - sure they werent that expensive

Yeah i no this thats why i said any thing up to £400 not meaning it had to be 400 could be 150 - 160 - 170 any thing all i meant that was top line figure.
HAS to be run off HU as boot is used for roof in summer so cant have any amp there and no chance of putting amp in front lol

lol not many people can say that.
Yeah id look at coaxils tbh. takes up the same space, but you get "extra" lol.

well as i said the RX series massive ones i had were good
sure all the usual suspects of ice manufacturers make a good set of coax speakers - cerwin vega, diamond, focal etc?

Dont like cerwin vega for how much you pay for what u actually get is pretty crap as was looking to swap to them instead of Rockford Fosgate
What about -
Boston Acoustics SL65
the XMax gear is pretty good from what ive experienced
sure boston would be just as good as any of the others

PDX 2 x 150 WRMS for £260
26cm x 20cm x 6cm
you can hide them under seats and behind dashboards, they have great heat dissipation and run at lower temperatures so they won't over het say behind a dash.
Then you can add whatever you like 6x9, comp, coaxil
That will come in under £400 still

You ever been in a tvr there is no under the seat as the seat in on the floor about 3/4 inch for the rail underneath. all dash board is leather so dont fancy taking apart to put an amp the other side like said im after the easiest but best 6.5 NO AMP. NO INSTALL JUST 6.5
Thanks any way

Last time in a TVR was about 5 years ago so I couldn't remember whether there was room or not. fair enough.

Well this model (55 reg) basically to save weight there is fook all lol and no room apart from boot, but boot cant be used as in summer the roof goes in there.
so going inot couple of probs lol
another reason you cant amp speakers in a TV is cause any sort of bass and bits will start to fall off..
only messin :P

Lol , he has had it for a week or 2 ,and apart from the windows feeling flimsey the build it actually ok, but will update in another 6 months lol.
But i think TVR was built for 1 reason and 1 reason only .....1 cheap SUPER CAR with amazing perfomance , i went out in it last night (fleet insurance) and there was this civic type r trying to over take me, and honest truth by time i got into 3rd i was having to slow down from 130mph and the black civic was like a little dot lol. o well cant wait for a ferrari or 911 turbo to come along. (i'll race you lol)
