Hello, i have a 1000w 4way channel BLITZ AMP... and also a 1000w JBL Sub.
Finally i also have a Sony Xplod headunit (50x4)
However, if i put a set of 6x9 speakers 300w into the shelf.. what extra effect will this give?.. Is there a point of putting these speakers in?..
Please reply as i need adivce.
Thanks

no mate, there will be no improvement at all, a sub and 6x9's are a very bad combination together.

Doesnt it give more bass or vocal?

the sub will just mess up any bass comming from the 6x9's
and vocals should be achieved from a good set of front comps,

A heap of bass. You'll be suprised if you can hear any vocal on that setup. It'll be like listening to it through a thick whoolie jumper

Yes get components and a sub but if you want the extra amplitude through the mid range then chuck the 6x9s in aswel. I don't see any point in 6x9s to be honest. Apart from if you want to chav around all day with loads of bass.

6x9's are good if you dont have a sub. Im thinking of just getting a set of decent 6x9, or even 7x10 to go with my front comps, amping them and forgetting about a sub.
I have decent front comps and a decent sub - I have bought some 6x9's and amped them in rear shelf, only improvement is the sound in the back :)
