I've been to Halfords :look: saw some Infinity 115w rms 16.5/17cm component speakers and enquired about getting them fitted etc, anyway, £40 for fitting, but then enquired about getting them amped up, but the guy said he can only do a straight swap, using the existing wires and additional brackets.

His excuses were that the black rubber tubing on both doors is a sealed unit and that i'd have to consult an auto electrician...

Now is there truth in this? As I wanted amped Infinity comps. :yummy:

If you have a Searchy McSearch youll find 3 ways of amping speakers in the door

well here's one thread: http://corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=70072&highlight=front+components

basically,
1- drill the door
2- drill the loom door block
3- tap into existing wires

1) tell him to stop being a ****

Well we dunno what amp he's running yet, and i cant see it being a 115 wrms one, more likely to be 100wrms (as thats more common) and as youve said, 100wrms is fine
