View Full Version : Alpine IVA-D310RB - Volume problem.
Hi,
Got it all installed today but im not running it threw my processor yet.
The problem is, on volume1 it is SOOOOO ****ing loud i cant listen to it, it was on for 1 minute and it blew my radio fuse under the bonnet...
I replaced the fuse, and it was ok volume was working fine. Turned car off turned back on 5 minutes later same problem with the volume.
Drove to local supermarket, left car for around 45 minutes and still exactly the same ****ing problem http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/images/smilies/whatever.gif
Any help at all...
well if its doing it after your car has been off, sounds like a memory problem. This could be down to a bad connection with the perminant supply. Try a new wire direct from battery to headunit with a 10amp fuse in it, see if this helps things.

Powerlines fine mate, tried a alpine 9855r on it fine, and a sony cdx gt-500 and its perfect.
theres now a 20a under the bonnet
ive also swapped over red and yellow
Its still doing it after youve made those mods?
and you cant turn it down? what if you turn it up?

Its loud on volume 1, so turning down turns it to 0 making it mute.
First time i turned it to 15 no change in the volume and the fuse blew under bonnet but now nothing
does your HU work in an other car?
dude, you have no idea how much wiring it consists of to fit it...
its not just like standard hus where wire straigh to HU
its hu, to tuner, tuner to loom, loom splits and to hu then to dc converter............. it would take me about 2 hours to pull all the wiring out
i know how much work is envolved... Im just asking if it works in another car, didnt know if it was brand new etc
Well assuming all your wiring is correct, and you havent played with settings, its a duffed head unit.
Its brand spanking like 3 days old.
wiring is fine, i fitted it all my self
might be something to do with the wiring to my processor maybe. il look into it tomorrow
but you said you aint running it through the processor yet?>

Im not, its wired to it. on the D310RB tuner box theres a switch norm and eq, have it on EQ makes it use the processor as apposed to the tuner

I see. Well i assume its on NORM atm.. I dunno tbh... id try EQ then see what happens

Its on norm now, if its on EQ no speakers work because i have no front speakers connected to a amp plugged into the processor

my processor did this, it does not like running speakers that are not amped.
on mine if i had the processor connected up and the none amped rear speakers turned on it would only play them at full volume so i recon you need to amp the speakers up then the processor wont get so confused
unplugged processor from circuit and its fine
