View Full Version : how to get steering wheel controls 2 wrk
just fitted an alpine headunit and the steering controls dont work and the dome only has the time and temp. can understand why the dome wont work. but the steering wheel controls should be able to work tho or not? anyone know anything about it?
thats life, the sterring controld will only work with an adapter and the date will stay off with a alpine hu.
you don't say what year your corsa is,if its before a 53 plate,(pre facelift)you will need one of these

alpine steering wheel control adaptor will get the controls working
as for the date, try a few settings on the HU, if not look in the ICE section in the "sticky" threads and i'm sure it says you can cut a wire and the date returns

so these easy to fit?
no cheap way of doing it, like using a connecting block?lol
i would imagine they just plug into the back of the HU and then into the ISO block like the 1 above???? dont know iv never bothered with mine,

As above you need the stereo specific adapter, which range from a fiver upwards, i've got an alpine and it works fine with steering controls.
