Fair enough, and don't get me wrong, i'm a newbie, but have performed quite a few electrical mods already, so id be more than capable of installing a HID kit im sure, just dont see the point in splashing out buying one if the difference isnt remarkably greater.

Of course yes. im sure HID is gona look better, not disputing that, but are the bulbs still any good alone ?

I don't see any point in comparing Hid and standard halogen bulb...really. Go to Youtube and type hid, hid kit, hid 6000k for example and watch the difference.

have a search for the pics of the rimstyle bulbs they're about as close as you can get

HID is a whole lot different to a cheap ebay £4.99 bulb :lol: yes you are a newb
