I have a kenwood HU wiv only 1 set of pre outs and a JBL GTO4000 amp which im running sub and comps off. Because i can only run 1 set of RCA cables due to 1 pre out i cant have the amp play the sub and comps at the same time. If i used a female to 2 males splitter would this fry my head unit as halfords told me i needed a HU wiv 2 pre outs and theres no other way yet my friend has been doing it for months now with no probs.

Thnaks i thought that but one of my friends said that he knew someone using the Y splitters and his HU literally blew up and started to spark although i think he was running a major top end system. Well i saved a few quid then :) .
