I'm currently using the factory head unit cdr 2005. is there any way i can connect a sub or do i have to replace it with an after market one, which by the way I really don't wanna do, because i like the look of the full cd player unit. Or can you buy full sized cd players?
I would just like to say sorry if my questions appear stupid, but I know f**k all about car cd players.

Basically if you get a cheap/specialised amplifier with a 'high level' input you can wire it into the current rear speaker wires. The standard head unit doesnt have RCA outputs so it wont work with most amps at all. I would definately consider getting a new head unit.. and no you cant get them that big, you need a facia. It does also mean you get an extra little place to put things as most facias come like this http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/images/var/thumbs/AUTOLEADS-FP-19-00-BK_tw200_th200.jpg

As above, the facia comes in silver and black and you can spray it any other colour you wish

Yes you can use a sub with your standard headunit
You need an £8 adapter, piggy back it off you rear speaker cables and earth it and it makes an RCA out.
Can't think of the part number but i know it's an Autoleads product.
