I've got all the right bits (Autoleads PC99-X06 *PC99X06 - Vauxhall Multistalk Adaptor +
Autoleads PC99-ALP *PC99ALP - Multi Stalk Patch Lead) and connected it all up correctly but still nothing from the wheel controls.

Does something have to be enabled on the HU for it to work?

Cheers :)

Autoleads PC99-X06 *PC99X06, Vauxhall Multistalk Adaptor, Suits from 03/93 onwards with separate radio display, Also requires Autoleads radio specific adaptor lead - When used in conjunction with Autoleads PC99-XXX range of adaptor leads this cable allows the use of OE stalk/steering wheel controls with compatible Vauxhall cars

May be your problem there ^^

h/u > adapter > original ISO block along with 1 orange lead connected and the headphone type jack connected to h/u?

Scott_NW

DaveP

Oh im not sure on the date then, I presumed it meant 03.

Have you created a loop with those 2 wires that come from the adaptor?

Scott_NW
18-04-2007, 00:35
connected 1 of the orange leads to the orange lead coming from the HU

do both orange leads from the adapter need to be connected to each other?

DaveP
18-04-2007, 00:36
Yeah the 2 orange ones need to be together, seems pointless like but they need to be put in a loop.

DaveP

Just went upstairs to get the instructions and the first one is...

"1. Link the two orange wires on the PC99-ALP to make a loop."

It probably is suitable for your car. Keep fiddling with it and you will probably find out it will work.

DaveP

Do you have those exact 2 leads?

How have you connected them?

Failing that try the alpine fix all combination, not sure exactly what it is but it goes something like,
Ignition on, stereo on, ignition off, stereo off, unplug 3.5mm jack, ign on, stereo on, ign off, stereo off, plug 3.5mm in, ign on stereo on and use fingers to control.

Mine played up abit but using that combination makes the system look for remotes e.g fingertip and IR

it worked BUT now when i turn the iginiton off it resets the HU.

:x

i give up with it

DaveP

Did you swap the red/yellow over on the new adaptor? If you did then you shouldn't have done.

Dont give up! :)

Steveocee

Again as above, swap the red and yellows over on the bullets and you'll be laughing.

Scott_NW
20-04-2007, 00:29
only put the orange wires into a loop nothing more.

red / yellow???

leaving it till saturday now, attemping to sort it late at night after 12hr shifts is a bad idea

DaveP
20-04-2007, 21:21
if its losing memory then you need to put the two red and yellow wires together

red to yellow
yellow to red
