cheers i hope you can help, i think im going to get it tonight!
depends what you want mate , a ported box will give you more volume , whereas a sealed enclosure will giv you better sq and punchyer bass
i like sealed personnnely, have a listen to both if you can and see which you prefer.

Personally prefer ported but the reason I currently have sealed is down to the extra space ported enclosures need - especially for a 15" sub. :(
I had an RE HC 15" ported in my old car (Clio mk1) and that weighed the fooker down lol Before that though had two Alpine R types sealed and they pounded, nice accurate punchy bass response, but didn't seem loud enough to me
I would soon take a type R over the type S any day of the week though, be it sealed or ported. :)
If you want lowwwww bass, then get ported, if you want punchier bass then get sealed.
I love  ported

i'm sure there isnt a BIG difference between the two? like major difference just the slightiest? since your not always going to be playing loww basey tunes but a mixture
better SQ?
better SPL?
Better VFM?
Better weight?
Better in terms of boot space?
Better in terms of looks?
better?!

Sealed or Ported Martin?
ported will be louder and less ressponsive and hit lower and provide more efficient VC cooling.
sealed is the opposite
