Hi Guys

I am about to complete my install, but I need to find out the best way to get my speaker cable into the door. I've tried searching with no avail.

I noticed that there was a gromit, got hopeful until it turned to be a ******g screw cap plug looking thing!

The easiest from what i can say is to cut the speaker cables before the they go in the plug and solder on my amp/spker wires there, but is it the best idea?

Any advice from you lot is always appreciated.

Ta!

put it through with the other wiring!

How? It's a plug, with the same style pins as the iso adapter?

put the extra wire with the others? through that black rubber stretchy thing that goes from the car to the door!

I'll have to take a picture, i can't, its not a rubber stretchy thing.... its a plug! :banghead: lol

Are you saying to put these new cables in the plug as well? i don't even know if there are any spaces on this "iso looking plug" to put any extra cables?

Sorry i think we are talking about two different things. It's not just a rubber gromit.,

yeah i think you two are off on different tracks
i firstly just used my origional speaker wiring, cut it off from car side, used the wiring through the door, then cut it again on the door side

saying that my car is at the car audio shop, they're taking the doors off then drilling a hole through and fitting with new grommets so that the wires can get through

pricey but it will look/sound nice

Thats the way i've been heading, i didn't really want to start drilling the doors. But that is the only way isn't it. Theres no way back if i go that way - although the sound will be comparably better right?

i started installing my comps 2day, an had the same problem as u, the plug splits in 2, the side of the plug in the door just push it an u can c it better the, theres spare hole in the the plug but u have to drill the plug hole out an then feed the wire through
