Has this been done before?

the bit where the clock/temp etc is, has anyone every removed it or moved it somewhere else and managed to fit a HU in its place? was looking at it the other day and recon it could be done with a bit of work, would have to make a new surround, want to use the existing CD player space for something else, though not sure yet.

I've heard of a screen going in there, but can't remeber where I seen it :?

yeah you could fit a screen up there with a new surround but would get nicked easily cause its on show, don't think enough room for a HU though. Could put a screen where the normal HU is and make a custom surround. but then again its on show, what I done is fit a CD player and in dash screen where the CD player was and taken out the MFD to fit two revotec gauges. Gonna make a custom centre arm rest in leather to match and fit a small screen on this for the back seat passengers like those in headrests. Don't make a mess of it matey, as its easily done!
