Boot???

I have in my position a pair of sony 10" subs and an amplifier which i want to mount in my boot, i wish to keep my existing HU and reart speakers. Basically, just adding the subs.

Is this pos? I figured you guys would know or have some solutions. You have any pics also of your fairly basic installs, i'm thinking false floor to keep space?

Not possible as the standard headunit doesn't have enough power to power even 1 sub.

It is possible, you would need to convert your high level speaker outputs to rca. using a cable. then you can power whatever you want. Its possible to have just about any install imaginable while still keeping the standard headunit.

Ah yes sorry my bad, for some reason I thought he wanted to run the subs directly from the heaunit without an amp. :woops:

Yeah sort of. the convertor converts it to a LOW level signal, as well as RCA heads.

there's been loads of talk about this lately... have a quick search, or rear the sticky mate :thumbs:
