Hi I'm pretty sure I've blown my front door speakers (the entire sound system is completely standard) as they kinda rattle and distort every now and again!

Anyhoo I'm just looking to get a new set which would be able to handle high volumes of mainly rock music - nothing too flashy, just something decent sounding at a decent price. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

are these a straight swap with the standard ones? are standards 17cm? and fit behind the doorcards with no adaptors and do the tweeters fit in the original pace with original connectors? sorry for so many questions.

yea basically. you need the adaptors to make em sit out far enough to fit but the secret is to cut the cones out of the original speakers (stanley knife and a jigsaw, takes two minutes) and use the frame of them as the adaptors (you'll know what i mean when you see them lol)

i have kenwood 3-ways where the standards used to be, my fusions are cut into the door card!

like so lol

standards are 16.5cm. you can just connect em to the standard speakers (easy) and you need to get adaptors so that they sit far enough out (just ask in your local halfrauds n they're about a tenner! or alternatively do as i said and cut the cones out of the original speakers and use the outer ring as an adaptor (saves a few quid lol)
