You need the Vauxhall post 2004 wiring adapter, it's 30 ish is a "quadlock" connector and also has an aerial adapter built into it.

if you have steering wheel remote controls, they will NOT work. Ever.

u say ever but they will sometime :P

the D310 and other motorised monitors from alpine would never be compatible but they've developed the loom for it now, £80 odd quid tho.. :s

Not with the ripspeed units, they don't have a jack input on the back, the wiring loom doesn't have any room for steering controls, they have never been designed to support the controls as they are designed "for the masses".

well i don't think they were designed to be stolen from one car then take it to the first shop possible and try and get a refund on it because they don't want it but they didn't ever get a receipt.

Iv have now got another post 2004 adaptor but still dose not work there are a few wires coming from the adaptor which i did not know i needed, when i took it to warrington car audio i was advised that these 2 wires need to be used. So thats gonna cost me £25.00 as they need to get go through the glovebox to get to where they are needed??

Anybody know of this?

Bunch of tosh i think, if it's a halfords adapter the two wires are illumination and an ignition, the ignition can be wired to your ciggy lighter (not through into the engine bay) Wouldn't worry about the illumination.

correct, you will only need the yellow wire (ignition feed). Run a wire down to your ciggy lighter (positive terminal) and job done. There is no need to run it through to the engine bay as stated above. ;)
