Hiya. Just fitted a festoon from crazy LED. It has 6 small LEDs in a casing.

Problem is when the car is locked or when the light switches off the LEDs are still shining very very slightly.

I think there must be a slight voltage leakage but its visible with the LED's as they only need slight current to work.

WILL THIS RUN MY BATTERY FLAT??????

James

Doubt it, LEDs are less than 3v usually.

Cheers. You can run those small falshing lights for alarms so this should be ok.

Does anybody know whats causing it? Any fixes? How bout a resistor?

Could it be a dodgy earth?

I think you may have to live with it as I suspect there's a residual current in the courtesy light circuit which is enough to light up such a low wattage blub as an LED but not the OE type.
